My sister invited me to go to the Living Planet Aquarium, I think because she felt bad that I didn't have anything planned for spring break and no husband. We had a good time despite that it was sooo crowded, and it was our 2 year olds nap time. I had a good time just spending time with her. Thanks Tand!

Winter Fun!

This was a long time ago, but is one of the only things I like about winter, besides skiing and all the holiday stuff. My family and I had a blast sledding. In my opinion it is the only way to sled. Im to lazy to walk back up the hill everytime. Im glad to have a family that likes to have fun. Now lets get spring and summer here!

So alot of pictures, I will try to explain them all. Colby and I went up to Idaho with Katie for our friend Justin Gibbs 30th birthday. They got a cabin on a ski reasort so we planned on skiing our hearts out. First day I decided to give snowboarding a chance and ended up breaking my wrist two and a half runs down. I am a awsome snowboarder, picked it right up! So I was sent to the hospital and just decided it would be better if I just shopped the rest of the trip and hung out on pain pills. So I did. Next day Colby and Gibb didn't really get there feel for the skiing, so they went back. Im at lunch when Gibb calls me and askes if I can stop by the pharmacy and pick some meds up for Colby. Why I ask? Oh because Colby decided to hit a 25ft. table top and cleared the landing by 20 some odd feet, fell out of the sky about 30 feet and nearly killed himself. Humm... this is turning out to be quite the trip I thought to myself. So we ended up sitting in the cabin on drugs together. It was awsome!!! Sorry to Justin I bet you wish you would have invited different friends.

Colby was so high on pain pills he let Katie put make-up on him. I think that was Katie just taking advantage of a crippled person. Shame on you!

The only time you will see me up on a snowboard. Im sticking to skiing.

So I have either been a slacker or very busy or a little of both. But I have noticed that a few of you have been slacking to. So to make myself feel better I am going to update. I always feel like I have to have pictures to post something, but I guess I don't. We had a great Christmas and a happy new year. I guess I don't want Christmas to be over because I still have my decorations up. (that goes into the same category as slacker/very busy) Anyways I promise I will update with pictures soon.

Fun Christmas Treat!

Okay I know I claim to be Martha Stewart, but im not. I know I had you all fooled, but I found a really cute idea to do for the Holidays if you are looking for something to do with the family. My pictures are out of order so this is what you do. Get tortilla shells (I prefer the ones that are uncooked. You can get them at Costco or Macey's) You fold them like you are cutting snowflakes out of paper. You cut what ever design that you want. Then open them carefully and fry them in a frying pan with oil till they are crispy. Then sprinkle powder sugar over them. There you have it, a tasty snowflake.

Becca Day

Well for those who don't know what Becca day is I will just let you know that it is my favorite day of the year. Why you ask? Well here is the history of Becca day. When Colby and I were dating 10 years ago I was having a bad day, so Colby stared a day just for me to make me happy, this is called Becca day. So every November 15th (mark it on your calendars) he has a special day planned for me. Even while he was on his mission and was supposed to be focusing on the lords work he still remembered, and would send me something. So this years Becca day started out with sending me to get a hot stone massage, and then I went to lunch and shopping with Katie all day. While he stayed home with the kids and cleaned the whole house top to bottom, mowed the lawn and even organized my shoe closet. I honestly don't know what i did to deserve Colby, but im glad to have him in my life. So for any of the hubby's out there reading this blog take a page out of my husbands book and make your wife feel like gold. I am so lucky. Sorry to rub it in your faces.

Sorry it's so late girls, but I just wanted to thank you for a great weekend. I think we should do this more often. Maybe once a month would do.
I think that every girl has a group of friends that just make life better and easier. If not you should find one. This group of girls are my support. They know me and I feel they truly care about me. So thanks again. Cant wait for girls weekend 2009.

I love watching kids do new things. Ev's adventure this year is gymnastics. She loves it so far. My favorite thing is her clothes she was so excited to get a leotard. It's amazing what makes little kids happy. I wish that's all it took to make me happy. I can't wait to see what is to come.

Ev had her first day of preschool. She was so excited about the whole backpack, school clothes thing so I had a blast getting her ready. Call me a bad mom, but I didn't shed a tear. I was so excited. I love her to pieces, but it's a good thing to have some time apart where you can actually miss each other, and i haven't had that a lot lately. It was a good day for both of us.

This party was not only for him but 2 of his friends Josh and Ryan that also turned the big 30 in August. So we put together a surprise party with all the families and friends. This year for the August birthday party we went up to the river property to have a hot dog roast and float the river. It was alot of fun. I don't know why we don't do it more often. Because Colby doesn't like big birthday party's I decided to throw a little party for him up the canyon. It was fun, the kids got really dirty and the adults got full. And Colby enjoyed himself. So I guess it was a success.

So Colby has turned the big 30! Sweet twenties will never be his again. I'm just glad that he will always be older than me. So in this tender moment I thought that I would make a list of 30 things I love about Colby. So here we go.
I love Colby because...

1. He loves his family so much, and he makes it known.
2. He is a better parent than I am. He is always so good to play with his kids.
3. He loves my family.
4. He likes to be adventurous.
5. He is an outdoors man.
6. He hates watching sports. (he would rather play them)
7. He's not into hunting.
8. He likes to go shopping with me. (which can be very challenging)
9. He respects his parents.
10. He knows how to work hard.
11. He knows how to play hard.
12. He always kisses me goodbye.
13. He always tells me he loves me before he hangs up the phone.
14. He helps around the house.
15. He's not afraid to say he's sorry.
16. He is very particular about his ketchup and root beer.
17. He likes good music.
18. His dimple below his eye.
19. His big muscles!
20. His bright and warm smile.
21. His laugh when he gets laughing real hard. I use to think it was embarrassing but now it's funny.
22. His scenes of humor.
23. That he is very layed back.
24. He doesn't care what people think.
25. He took back his X box 360 because he knew it would take away from his family time.

27. He likes to ski, wake board, rock climb, carve board, hike, camp, Mt. bike, jeep, ride 4-wheelers and motorcycles, pretty much anything fun.
28. He is selfless and would give me anything he possibly could.

Raging Water's

Some of my friends and I decided to go up to Raging waters with the kids, 15 kids under 6. Sounds crazy, but it was so much fun. They all had a blast. I left Jada home so Ev and I could have a day for just the two of us. She felt so special, and I had so much fun with her. I think I need to do that more often. Anyways it was a great day and a good way to end the summer.

Well lets just say chaos instead of birthday party. So we had her birthday at 6:00, well about 6:04 it started pouring rain. No big deal right. Unless you are having a BBQ outside with 35 people, then you get to figure out where to put all those people in about 20 sec. I just have to say thank you to everyone for hanging in there. It was a good night though to be surounded by friends and family.

Colby put her in her motocross jammies, not my idea of a birthday outfit. Oh well.

Just call me Martha Freakin Stewart! FYI that is ice cream cake, bet you didn't think I had it in me.

It is so crazy to think that a whole year in her little life has already passed. I can't believe how lucky I am to have Jada in my life. She brings such a sweet spirit with her. I love that every time I look at her, she gazes back at me with her big blue eyes, and looks at me like I could do no wrong. I love her to pieces. Her smile is so contagious I can't help but smile back and laugh. I am so glad that I am able to be her mom. Thank you Jada for brightening up my life. Happy 1st Birthday!

Swim Lessons

Evrest had her first swim lessons this year, and she loved every minute of it. I love little girls in swimsuits. The more chubb they have the cuter they look. Why can't it be that way when we get older. Who says cottage cheese isn't cute.

So here I am playing catch up again. These are pictures of the 4th of July. We went with my mom,dad,aunt and my uncle to the PG fireworks. They are a fun group of people to be with. Now the 24th Ev woke up at 6:30 to throw up and then had a high fever. She wanted to do all the fun things we had planned, and by the afternoon she had me convinced that she felt better. So we went to a family BBQ and she just layed on her towel the whole time. I felt so bad for her. She is all better today so I don't know what it was, but im glad it's over.

St. George Trip

So we took a little getaway down to St. George in June so Colby could go on his high adventure and so I could hang out with Katie. We had a blast. First we went to Crawdad canyon to do a little rock climbing. Katie was a trooper Colby made her go up 2 climbs, she is funny she always says she cant do anything but when you make her she ends up showing you up. The little girls had fun to. Asha is a natural which isn't surprising and Ev and Sage did good to. Katie and I went down to Vegas for a day of shopping which was not as successful as I hoped, I only got one shirt , oh well it was still fun. And what would a trip to St.George be without a little pool time. Poor Jada by the time I got the camera she fell asleep in grandma's arms. All in all we had a great time. Thanks Katie for entertaining me.

The girls and I ventured out to Huck Finn days this year. It was alot of fun. Ev's favorite thing was riding the pony. She said "that horse makes me bouncy". She also loved the face painting, although her butterfly ended up looking more like a giant strawberry. Thank goodness she's only three they could of painted a big blob on her face and she would of been happy.... Oh wait that is what they did and she was happy!

Ev's Princess House

So Colby's dad has built this cool shed out in his back yard. When Ev first saw it she asked her grandpa if that was a princess house. She loves it and always wants to play in it. Now his new adventure is to put a real working water wheel on the side of it. He has built this wheel from scratch it is amazing to watch it all come together. I told him we wanted to paint the inside pink. He loves his grand daughter but that's pushing it.

Colby's parents have a fire pit in there back yard so we went over for a hot dog roast. I think we will be spending alot of dinners over there. It's quick, cheep and did I mention alot of fun.

We went to St.George for a little getaway. It was much needed we havent gone anywhere since I had Jada. It started a little rouph though. Colby forgot to put my luggage in the car so I about hiked naked. What a shame I had to go shopping for all new stuff. We had a blast, although I thought Britt was going to kill us because of the hike we did, she is a trooper. Evrest loved hiking and Jada didn't do to bad herself.
